Phoenix Security is a cybersecurity start-up working on an exciting new product. We are looking for a founding Frontend Engineer to join our team. You will work on our new product, Phoenix Security, which is disrupting vulnerability management, application security, and cloud security. We seek a candidate who can work in a dynamic, flexible, and self-managed manner, comfortable with start-up environments.

Phoenix Security helps CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, and developers communicate effectively regarding vulnerability management. Our platform provides a clear view of vulnerabilities with contextual information, including application cost and risk levels.

Job brief

We are seeking a Frontend Developer with UI/UX design experience to transform our web application into user-friendly products. The role involves collaborating with designers and developers to implement UX/UI improvements, creating functional and appealing features to meet client needs and support growth.

This is a remote position, transitioning to hybrid, based in Barcelona or Malaga, Spain, requiring professional-level English proficiency.

Tech Stack : Angular, visualization libraries (eCharts, D3), state management (Ngrx, Reactive store pattern), cloud (AWS) experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work independently on requirements and stories
• Collaborate to improve implementation velocity and effectiveness
• Propose technical and functional alternatives
• Prepare and present drafts to internal teams and stakeholders
• Identify and troubleshoot UX issues (e.g., responsiveness)
• Make layout adjustments based on user feedback
• Follow style standards for fonts, colors, and images

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills, client-facing and internal
• Approachable and team-oriented
• Proven experience as a frontend web developer
• Portfolio of projects
• Familiarity with web design
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Excellent time-management skills
• BSc in Design, Computer Science, or relevant field (preferred)
• Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Miro, Figma, Github
• Willingness to relocate or currently living near Barcelona or Malaga
