Adecco Life Science, a specialized division of the Adecco Group, is recruiting for a client company operating in the design and construction of modules, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers for the pharmaceutical sector. We are seeking a Sourcing Manager.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize supplier base, including prequalification and management, to ensure cost-effective supply with consistent quality, acceptable service, and delivery levels.
- Identify, develop, and implement regional sourcing strategies to develop and optimize the supply base in Europe, aiming to reduce total delivered cost, mitigate risks, and improve supply security and quality consistency.
- Understand technical specifications, product performance requirements, manufacturing processes, and user expectations.
- Collaborate with related functional teams to resolve purchasing issues and minimize project disruptions.
- Develop contract strategies and negotiate key commercial and supply agreements to support company goals.
- Stay informed about industry trends in assigned categories and advise the Purchasing team to support margin and growth objectives.
- Demonstrate strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field. An advanced degree in Supply Chain, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or Finance is preferred.
- More than 5 years of procurement experience in the engineering, automation, pharmaceutical, or chemical industries.
- Experience with industrial or equipment manufacturing and familiarity with European supply bases such as piping, valves, instruments, and construction vendors.
- International work experience, either academic or professional.
- Fluent in English.
- Proven leadership, teamwork, and project management skills.
- Successful track record in structured negotiations with outstanding results.
Additional Details
Contract type: CCNL for the Metalmeccanico sector; level and RAL will be based on experience. Includes lunch ticket (€8.00 per workday) and an annual bonus based on performance. Permanent contract directly with the company.
Working hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with some remote work possible.
