About the Role:

As a Regional Technical Safety Specialist, you will support local operations to deliver safety improvements, plans, and projects, owning specific elements of the site safety masterplan. The role focuses on machinery safety, assessing and enhancing the technical safety of operational equipment and infrastructure by applying Essity Standards and industry best practices.

What You Will Do:

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to our I Care journey, ensuring a safe, healthy, and sustainable work environment.
  • Support sites in applying technical safety standards within your region.
  • Assist in applying loss prevention standards regionally.
  • Facilitate machinery safety and risk assessments in collaboration with the technical safety team.
  • Support new machinery projects to ensure safety performance levels are met.
  • Provide expertise to implement and maintain a robust process safety system.
  • Support audits related to technical safety, process safety, and loss prevention, and contribute to organizational capability building.
  • Participate in regional technical safety networks with other sites and the Global Technical Safety group.
  • Assist in root cause analysis for incidents involving technical safety elements.

Who You Are:

  • University degree in Engineering or related technical experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a related field.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Experience in fostering a safety awareness culture.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with understanding of matrix organizations.
  • Ability to drive cross-functional projects.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Excellence in execution, prioritization, stakeholder management, and problem-solving.

More About Location:

The role can be based at one of Essity's manufacturing sites in Europe.
