YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of the Global Legal Team, the legal professional will interface and coordinate legal functions, providing support in Spain and other countries where Systra Ibérica operates, on matters including:

  1. Providing legal advice and analysis on contractual issues related to project procurement.
  2. Drafting and advising on a wide range of contracts and agreements for worldwide projects.
  3. Acting as a key point of contact for negotiations and contract performance management.
  4. Dealing with internal teams, clients, partners, subcontractors, and legal advisors.
  5. Understanding active projects and tenders in preparation.
  6. Advising stakeholders on legal risks and mitigation strategies.
  7. Training management to ensure compliance with policies.
  8. Coordinating with insurance brokers and external legal counsels.
  9. Drafting legal notices and managing dispute cases.
  10. Managing corporate governance and compliance for Systra Ibérica's entities.
  11. Participating in the Systra Group legal network.

Educational Background

  • Admitted as a solicitor in Spain (preferred).
  • Law Degree (LLM or PhD).

Language Skills

  • Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
  • French and Portuguese are a plus but not mandatory.

Experience

  • Mandatory solid knowledge of Spanish public procurement, engineering, and D&B/construction contracts.
  • Proven experience in negotiating and drafting contracts.
  • Experience in an international environment with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferably in-house experience following law firm practice.
  • Experience in construction, transport, engineering, oil and gas, energy, or water sectors.
