What are we looking for?
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to work closely with one of our main clients in the financial sector.
Main tasks and responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to understand needs and design data-driven solutions.
- Leading prototyping workshops to clarify objectives and collaborating across Global Technology Shared Services to implement solutions.
- Understanding approaches for building self-service and corporate BI solutions, including data sources and ETL methods.
- Driving reporting efficiencies and training Power BI report designers and consumers.
- Acting as a Power BI evangelist, staying updated on technology trends, and exploring use cases and alternatives.
- Contributing to the Power Platform center of excellence, creating governance structures, and assessing adoption and satisfaction.
- Being a collaborative change ambassador with a creative approach to problem-solving.
What UST expects from you?
- Strong skills in data analysis, modeling, and ETL process design.
- 10+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
- Expertise in SQL, performance tuning, and handling large data volumes.
- Understanding of enterprise big data architectures.
- Experience with reporting and analytics solutions like Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Database, SSAS.
- Knowledge of Azure Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Data Factory.
- Experience with Power Platform solutions including Power Automate and Power Apps.
- Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio (SSDT).
- Knowledge of security model design within data estates.
- Proficiency in English (C1 level) for international collaboration.
Nice to have:
- Experience in building reporting governance frameworks and promoting adoption.
- Familiarity with SAFe practices.
- Experience with data interfaces like APIs, Snowflake, databases, and various file formats.
- Understanding of Data Quality approaches such as shift left.
