The Quick Response Center (QRC) Leader ensures that aftermarket operations and service to our customers are executed seamlessly, complying with Flowserve safety standards and ensuring the best possible customer experience through on-time delivery, quality, and technical requirements compliance. This position requires strong product knowledge of mechanical seals, pumps, and valves, as well as understanding of service and repair activities, customer operations, equipment dismantling, and expertise in repair, upgrade quoting, spares procurement, inventory management, repair process, delivery, commissioning, startup, and site acceptance.
Leading an operational team of 30 people, the QRC Leader will ensure operational performance (on-time delivery, past due backlog, cost of poor quality, cycle times, non-material cost of goods sold) and full accountability for the service center P&L, ensuring manufacturing costs and operating structure sizing align with sales volume to achieve expected operating income levels.
QRC Manager Job Responsibilities and Performance Goals:
- Operations Management:
- Ensure full compliance with Flowserve safety standards and policies (safety training, compliance, safety observations, SMA audits, global safety alerts).
- Manage team recruitment, training, and development plans.
- Oversee back-office order management in the ERP system (order entry, material procurement, release, inventory management, delivery), coordinating engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality. Participate in ERP improvement initiatives.
- Ensure workshop resources and skills development to balance load and capacity.
- Manage and develop suppliers regionally (machining, coating, welding, painting).
- Manage OPEX and report on operations, measure against budget, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Lead CAPEX implementation for improvements.
- Financial forecasting and reporting, including weekly booking/sales and OI reports, monthly financial planning, invoice collections, and dispute resolution.
Business Development and Growth:
- Participate in sales & operations meetings to align on customer needs, opportunity pipeline, and actions.
- Support sales and commercial teams with service agreements, customer fleet assessments, and solution proposals.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master’s in Business Administration is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years in leadership roles within industrial operations.
- Familiarity with P&L, financial and operational metrics, and performance management systems.
- Experience managing operations in foreign markets, remote locations, and export controls.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and build high-performing teams.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement processes.
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field and 5-8 years of relevant experience.
