Junior Forest Project Developer — Selva (Forestry & Social Impact)

Contract: Full-time, junior salary band, hybrid (EU or Latin America)

Start: July 2025

WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS

zeroCO2 is expanding its portfolio of high-impact forestry projects.

You will scout new opportunities on the ground, build strong partnerships, and prove their long-term sustainability through basic financial analysis.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Project sourcing (LatAm) – Discover, evaluate, and prioritize agro-forestry initiatives that can join Selva's portfolio.
  • Stakeholder engagement – Build and nurture relationships with public institutions, companies, and local communities; pitch our proposals directly to CEOs and top management.
  • Financial modelling (Excel) – Use pre-built templates to analyze costs, cash flows, and development scenarios.
  • Field missions – Conduct technical assessments, facilitate workshops with farming communities, and collect baseline data.

WHO YOU ARE

  • You ship MVPs in days, list hypotheses/risks/metrics, and seek feedback after initial steps.
  • You are comfortable working with Latin-American stakeholders and demonstrate intercultural sensitivity.

MUST-HAVES

  • Experience: 2+ years in project development, international cooperation, or similar
  • Education: Degree/professional background in forestry science, forestry engineering, agronomy, or related disciplines
  • Languages: Native Spanish + fluent English (C1)
  • Tech: Advanced Excel
  • Mobility: Willing to travel frequently in Latin America (>4 months per year)
  • Soft skills: Networking, executive-level communication, organizational skills

NICE TO HAVE

  • GIS / remote sensing skills
  • Portuguese C1
  • Familiarity with Asana, ClickUp, or similar tools
