Senior Back-End Engineer

The Engineering team at Veriff develops the software that powers our identity verification platform. We aim to address the online identity crisis with scalable solutions, maintaining a focus on innovation. In a dynamic market, we seek new talent to enhance our team with fresh perspectives and ideas. We are looking for an experienced professional to join our Governmental Registries team as a Senior Backend Engineer.

In this role, you will significantly contribute to Veriff's innovation by expanding use cases through integrations with governmental registries, focusing on backend technologies. You will work with a variety of technologies to make the internet safer. Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and test software applications or systems using Python and TypeScript.
2. Produce high-quality, well-tested code utilizing modern abstractions and frameworks.
3. Deepen understanding of relevant product areas, codebase, and systems.
4. Demonstrate proficiency in data analysis, programming, and software engineering.
5. Address problems of moderate scope, developing core backend components.
6. Collaborate with other teams, share innovations, and incorporate feedback.
7. Conduct design and code reviews.
8. Identify and implement necessary changes to codebases, product areas, or systems.
9. Independently complete medium to large features with multiple tasks and milestones.

Ideal Candidate:

• Has over 5 years of experience building large-scale applications.
• Has extensive experience with Python and/or NodeJS with TypeScript, and is eager to learn the other.
• Has ownership experience of specific components, features, or systems.
• Has a proven track record of developing, debugging, and deploying software on large codebases.
• Holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Can inspire growth within teams by setting new standards.
