The Position

The Content Review Operations Coordinator is responsible for managing and executing the end-to-end medical, legal, and regulatory (MLR) review processes for promotional content, referred to as the Program Review Committee (PRC) within Genentech. This role ensures that content moves efficiently, compliantly, and transparently through the review cycle, supporting timely approvals and audit readiness. The role is critical to ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements while enabling speed to market for high-quality, approved content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Content Review Operations plans aligned with compliance and product standards.
  • Provide planning inputs and manage resource allocation to optimize content review processes.
  • Lead content review processes such as Medical, Legal, Regulatory (MLR), ensuring compliance with SOPs and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with content review teams to ensure regulatory compliance and leverage accelerator tools to expedite review processes.
  • Manage material flow through content review, including submission validation, agenda preparation, review meeting facilitation, and follow-ups.
  • Validate and steward content metadata and business rules in support of modular content product standards and in alignment with content campaign or above-campaign business needs.
  • Provide informational resources on content systems and processes to training support teams; provide ongoing support and expectations for adapting to evolving content review standards.
  • Identify and mitigate process gaps and risks, escalating issues as necessary; partner with content owners and partners to ensure processes and standards are followed.
  • Develop and maintain audit trails and compliance documentation for all content assets.
  • Support content review experimentation and pull-through to improve operational outcomes and process efficiency.
  • Oversee team in preparing agendas and facilitate review meetings to ensure timely decisions and effective issue resolution.
  • Comply with all laws, regulations, and policies that govern the conduct of Genentech operations.

Who You Are

Minimum Candidate Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience is required.
  • 5 years in roles partnering with a variety of stakeholders, 3 years of experience in professional roles focused on content / digital asset management, content or marketing operations, content review / approval, compliance, and / or governance.
  • Experience using Veeva Vault PromoMats (VVPM), or similar tools, as the primary system for content / digital asset management and review / approval.
  • Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or biotech industries, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Strong understanding of marketing and medical content lifecycles.
  • Experience developing operational processes and leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Excellent program management and advanced communication skills, with proven ability to collaborate with enterprise stakeholders across functions.
  • Familiarity with digital content strategies and regulatory compliance in marketing.
