The required background is a degree in Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, or a closely related discipline. Knowledge of software development, especially coding, is highly valued. The work will be conducted at CIC nanoGUNE and DOMOTEK facilities, involving setting up mechanical parts of equipment, software integration, and instrument improvements. Product development and validation in the biomedical sector will also be part of the role. Main techniques include electrospinning and melt electrowriting, with other methods as needed. Candidates should be proficient in English and Spanish, possess excellent communication skills, and be prepared to work in an industrial environment.
The position is expected to start on 01/09/2025 or earlier. It begins with a fixed-term industrial researcher contract at nanoGUNE for one year, followed by a 5-month contract at DOMOTEK. If progress is satisfactory, there is potential for extension to a permanent position at DOMOTEK.
NanoGUNE is a research center dedicated to world-class nanoscience research, contributing to the growth of the Basque Country. It is part of the Basque Research and Technology Alliance (BRTA) and recognized as a María de Maeztu Unit of Excellence.
DOMOTEK, based in San Sebastian, Spain, specializes in additive manufacturing and 3D printing, focusing on healthcare solutions since 2015.
