GL Accountant

As a GL Accountant, you should be able to perform the following responsibilities under general direction and minimal supervision, in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and ASP policies, procedures, and guidelines :

• Preparation of US GAAP and local statutory financial statements for assigned legal entities, including GAAP to Statutory adjustments, supporting entity FS audits, replying to auditors' queries, and ensuring alignment with timelines and due dates.
• Managing the monthly closing process, including journal postings, intercompany reconciliations, month-end accruals, prepayments, and deferred costs entries, with a general knowledge of Fixed Assets and inventory processes.
• Controlling and maintaining monthly balance sheet reconciliations and reviews, including GL reconciliations in Blackline and resolution of aged items.
• Preparation of interim financial statements and ad hoc statistical surveys for assigned entities.
• Preparation and booking of payroll journal entries, with an understanding of payroll accounting and collaboration with the payroll team for information sourcing and variance explanations.
• Driving process efficiencies and improvements, ensuring compliance with company policies, local, and US GAAP requirements.
• Performing ad hoc duties as required and communicating business issues or opportunities to management.
• Utilizing advanced SAP (Financial Module) and Excel skills effectively.
• Interest in AI technologies.

You will succeed in this role if you are familiar with internal and external audits, understand compliance and SOX requirements, and are experienced with VAT mechanisms, especially in EU and non-EU transactions. You should be able to manage workload and pressure during peak periods.

Minimum requirements include at least 3+ years of experience in a GL accounting role, familiarity with statutory accounting and audit processes, proficiency in SAP and Excel, and proficiency in English. Additional European languages, PowerBI, Python, and AI experience are a plus.
