PostDoc Researcher in the field of Power Electronics

The Power Systems Group announces the opening of a position as PostDoc Researcher to work on the SCAPE project funded under the HORIZON EUROPE programme, as well as on similar technical research projects in the fields of Power Electronics. The tasks will include designing advanced power converter topologies and control schemes, developing electro-thermal models for power converter digital twins, and conducting experimental activities within IREC’s lab facilities.

Qualifications and Experience Required :

• PhD in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Automatic Control, or similar, or a Master (or equivalent) with more than 4 years of research experience in Power Electronics.
• Experience in design, modelling, and operation of power electronics converters.
• Experience with control board design and programming.
• Experience in analog and digital electronic systems design, simulation, and testing.
• Hands-on experience with power electronics is essential.

Preferred Skills :

• Knowledge of multilevel power converter topologies and operation.
• Experience with communications and automation systems.
• Experience supervising, guiding, and training team members.
• Experience in preparing competitive project proposals.
• Publication record in technical journals and conferences.
• Personal skills include teamwork, initiative, flexibility, results orientation, and analytical capabilities.

Job Offer :

We offer a R2 position for 14 months within the SCAPE European project. Salaries will follow IREC’s salary policy, based on qualifications and experience.
