Job Summary
Fresh and Ready Foods is seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to lead Lean activities across all locations. This role involves reviewing processes to eliminate waste in manufacturing and business areas, creating strategic Lean transformation plans, and driving improvement efforts. The manager will foster a Lean culture and report to the Director of Continuous Improvement.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Develop Lean Transformation Plans, including value stream maps, to identify opportunities to eliminate waste and improve performance.
- Collaborate with leaders to execute Gemba walks and improve visual management on the shop floor and in office areas.
- Drive leaders to implement continuous improvement and eliminate flow inhibitors.
- Coach and mentor leadership to foster a continuous improvement culture.
- Coordinate Lean Manufacturing activities, including kaizen events and projects.
- Support operations and office groups to establish and maintain standard work and continuous flow, including 5S and visual management.
- Drive Lean thinking into the office to create enterprise-level value stream management.
- Ensure open communication and involvement of employees in the Lean process.
- Provide Lean status reports, including metric-based accomplishments and true savings in areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Cash (inventory).
- Partner with Site Operations Leadership to create annual strategy development plans.
- Partner with new product development to ensure design for manufacturability and process improvement.
- Stay current with technologies and Lean concepts through continuing education and benchmarking.
- Provide Lean training and coaching for site employees.
- Serve as a resource for implementation issues at plants and drive progress on Lean plans.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Education / Experience :
- Bachelor's degree and / or equivalent applicable knowledge / experience.
- 8+ years' experience in a food manufacturing business.
- Demonstrated experience in advancing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Exhibit positive energy and contribute as a change agent.
- Highly motivated, hands-on, results-driven, and forward-thinking professional.
- Confidence, integrity, and an autonomous mindset with the ability to work independently.
Physical Demands :
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.

- Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme temperatures (cold), and moderate to very loud noise levels.
Travel : Must be willing to travel to facilities, customers, and supplier sites up to 75%.
