Job Offer: Postdoctoral Researcher in Tumour Microenvironment (TME) Team at Instituto de Biomedicina y Biotecnologia de Cantabria (IBBTEC), CSIC/Universidad de Cantabria
Focus: Modulating cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) to normalize aberrant vascularization in tumors, enhancing drug perfusion and anti-cancer drug efficacy. Funded by ERC CoG.
We are a team of 9 researchers, including PI, 4 postdocs, 1 technician, 1 bioinformatician, and 2 PhD students, with strong funding and clinical collaborations.
Investigating the multicellular context of solid tumours, mechanisms of cancer progression, and therapy response, with a focus on CAFs using cellular/animal models, molecular analysis, and bioinformatics.
This subproject explores how CAFs influence drug perfusion and therapy, employing microfluidic organ-on-chip devices to study vasculogenesis and related cellular/molecular determinants.
Motivated researcher with initiative, experience in molecular cell biology, microscopy techniques, and leadership skills. Proficiency in experiment design, report writing, supervision, and team participation required.
