Job Description

Work in close conjunction with and receive directions from Engineering personnel to apply engineering concepts of Mechanical, Supports, Civil, and/or Structural designs into practicable functional graphics and drafting deliverables. Proficiency in CAD 2D and 3D is required.

Develop moderately complex layouts and digital models, incorporating modified concepts in manufacturing, installation, and/or construction engineering drawings. Prepare layouts, digital models, and drawings for complete items characterized by critical structural, piping, and/or mechanical clearances. Specifications may be from sketches or statements of end results.

Assist with analysis of engineering drawings and models for product manufacturability/constructability, including checking for clarity, proper illustration, data accuracy, dimensioning, tolerances, surface finish, weld symbols, material specifications, and drawing format requirements such as bill of materials and sign-off procedures.

Calculate dimensions, tolerances, fits, slopes, weights, bends, etc., using experimental engineering data and formulas.

Interpret specifications and references using established drawing principles.

Occasionally perform on-site measurements, assist with walk-downs, and support installation within a nuclear facility.

This position is based in Ascó with the possibility of collaboration with other projects and team members at Vandellós. Support for Vandellós Layout Group may be required.

Minimum Requirements

• Technician or Vocational qualification certificate (Formación Profesional) related to the technical discipline, or an equivalent qualification, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial projects, preferably in Nuclear Industry Projects.
• Or an Engineering degree related to the technical discipline.

Valuable experience with CAD software such as AVEVA E3D, AutoCAD, TEKLA Structures, PDS, SmartPlant3D, MICROSTATION connect (preferably with 3D tools).

The candidate must be an EU citizen or authorized to work in Spain, capable of working within radiological areas and possessing radiological monitoring documentation. Occasional work in confined spaces with respirator masks may be required.

Language requirements: Fluent in written and spoken Spanish; English skills are valuable.
