Manufacturing Engineer / Manufacturing Engineering Manager – Electric Motor Manufacturing

An Electric Vehicle manufacturer based in Barcelona is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer or Manufacturing Engineering Manager to take ownership of industrialisation and process development for electric motor manufacturing.

This role is ideal for someone with a background in motor assembly , precision manufacturing , or EV drivetrain components , looking to join a growing team driving innovation in electric mobility.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement manufacturing processes for electric motor production
• Define and optimise assembly methods, tooling, and production lines
• Work with R&D and supply chain teams to ensure manufacturability and efficiency
• Support ramp-up activities and line commissioning
• Lead problem-solving efforts and continuous improvement initiatives
• Depending on seniority, manage a small team of engineers and / or technicians

Requirements

• Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering role (motor, powertrain, e-mobility, or related fields)
• Strong understanding of electric motor manufacturing processes (e.g. winding, rotor / stator assembly, magnet bonding, testing)
• Hands-on approach with experience in process validation and production line setup
• Familiar with Lean Manufacturing and industrialisation methods
• Engineering degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering
• Experience in a start-up or high-growth environment
• Spanish language skills (not essential, but useful)
• Exposure to automation, robotics, or Industry 4.0 tools

This is a full-time, permanent position based on-site in Barcelona , with relocation support available. Salary will depend on experience and level of responsibility (Engineer vs. Manager).
