The candidate will be welcomed within the Vendor Management unit, a transversal area within Telefónica Global Solutions responsible for managing end-to-end relationships with partners and providers. This includes economic management, strategic discussions, operational support, and collaboration with business units.

Mission

As a Vendor Manager, you will be responsible for developing strategies, managing engagement, overseeing the cost of sale budget, and achieving economic targets for your assigned vendors. You will manage vendors from regions such as APAC and Eastern Europe, based in Madrid.

Accountabilities / Responsibilities

  1. Build and maintain relationships with assigned vendors.
  2. Own the cost of sale budget and control efficiencies.
  3. Develop and execute efficiency plans.
  4. Coordinate activities for key customers in your region, including developing new products with vendors, exploring new business opportunities, and quality assurance.
  5. Support other Telefónica Global Solutions areas in vendor communication to ensure smooth operations for our customers.
  6. Create and maintain action plans (strategic, economic, operational) for each vendor.
  7. Assist the Vendor Strategy & Agreements Unit in negotiating existing vendor agreements and onboarding new vendors.
  8. Monitor business evolution, including new demands and cancellations.
  9. Contribute to the evolution of processes and tools.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Qualifications, Training & Experience

  • University degree (Engineering, Telecoms, etc.).
  • Approximately 6 years of experience in telecommunications or vendor management.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English, both spoken and written; Chinese language skills are a plus.
  • High knowledge of the global telecommunications industry.
  • Availability to travel.
  • Data analysis skills are an advantage.
