Position: DevOps / Cloud Engineer

We are seeking a skilled professional to work with a highly digitalized top bank customer in the US & UK markets.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a cross-functional team applying Site Reliability Engineering principles to in-house developed front-end applications.
  • Maintain oversight of managed systems, with autonomy to improve availability and fault tolerance.
  • Enhance reliability, monitoring, and observability of services deployed within AWS in a complex, distributed environment.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce operational overhead through observability and automation.
  • Define, implement, and meet service level objectives.
  • Participate in system design, platform management, and service reviews.
  • Willingness to be part of a 24/7 on-call rota (additional pay).

Qualifications and experience:

  • Over 5 years of experience as a DevOps, Cloud Engineer, or similar role.
  • Experience in Cloud architecture, preferably AWS; experience with Azure or GCP is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins).
  • Proficiency with containers and orchestrators like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of distributed backend systems with proven performance, scalability, and resiliency.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., NewRelic, Grafana, Logz.io).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Jira).
  • Good command of English (C1 level).

Work details:

Remote work within Spain, during business hours, with no Friday or summer intensive days.
