About the school and city

IH Cordoba, known locally as “Academia Britanica”, was the first IH to be founded by John and Brita Haycraft in 1953.

Since that time the school has continued to grow and we now have two locations. The CENTRO school is in the old town in two modernized Andalusian houses. The school has 22 classrooms, a staffroom, a computer room and an open-plan study centre. The building is fully air-conditioned, with central heating, WIFI and all classrooms have computers and interactive whiteboards.

The SIERRA school is in a residential area, with modern facilities.We invest in the decoration and facilities, to make the classrooms and teachers' rooms comfortable and well-equipped. Visitors say thepremises are a pleasure in which to work and study.
