nscglobal's Head of Global Logistics Management is a critical role responsible for ensuring timely and accurate delivery of hardware to customers. With approximately 50% of nscglobal revenues derived from network hardware sales, this position is vital in managing complex global deployment programs, hardware replacements, and supporting services. The role directly influences revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction by overseeing logistics elements such as inventory management, warehousing, staging, reverse logistics, and import/export processes. Given the company's growth, this position aims to implement transformative strategies to enhance infrastructure and quality for future scalability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong customer-facing skills from tendering to business integration.
  • Collaborate within multiple project teams.
  • Ensure timely delivery within budget, meeting or exceeding SLAs.
  • Manage regional third-party carriers, selecting best-in-class providers and systems.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory laws, ensuring safe and swift movement of goods.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to develop regional service offerings.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Transformation Services, Procurement, Finance, HR, and Commercial teams.
  • Utilize data analytics for informed decision-making.
  • Present proposals and reports with supporting business cases.
  • Oversee the entire supply chain from procurement to delivery.
  • Implement strategic plans to enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Manage people development, HR issues, and recruitment.
  • Travel to customer sites and third-party facilities as needed, especially during transitions.

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of EU logistics, especially post-Brexit movement, focusing on cost-effectiveness and compliance.
  • Background in Logistics, Distribution, and Supply Chain management.
  • Experience in managing large-scale customer transactions.
  • Degree qualification is advantageous.
  • At least 5 years of Warehouse or Operations Management experience.
  • Experience in IT hardware logistics distribution is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of freight forwarding, customs, and import/export processes, including IOR/EOR.
  • Previous roles at Warehouse Manager, Depot Manager, or Head of Logistics level.
  • Global experience and a passion for sustainability.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH certifications are desirable but not essential.
  • Experience managing a P&L up to £2M, with cost monitoring and re-allocation skills.
  • Proven track record in high service levels through third-party carriers.
  • Successful project management experience.
  • Results-driven with a commercial mindset and ability to identify upsell opportunities.
  • Proactive risk, issue, and dependency management with corrective action planning.
  • Industry experience in a management role.
  • Ability to leverage data for risk/opportunity assessment and innovative ideas.
