PLD Space is an international space services company specializing in the development and manufacturing of reusable rockets for satellite and human space transportation. Mission

The primary goal is to develop metallic coatings for the MIURA 5 rocket engines.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and select optimal procedures for coating processes.
  • Define process parameters and create related documentation.
  • Establish controls and testing protocols.
  • Analyze process data and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Coordinate with raw material and equipment suppliers.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Materials, or relevant work experience for other degrees.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in electroplating of non-ferrous metals.
  • Deep understanding of electrochemical processes chemistry.
  • Experience in process parameterization and optimization.
  • Knowledge of masking, characterization techniques, and experience with ERP and LIMS systems.
  • Familiarity with standards such as ISO, ASTM, ECSS, MIL, NACE.
  • Experience in the aerospace sector and with electroplating of copper and nickel.
  • Knowledge of metallography, destructive testing, and surface treatments.
  • Ability to interpret complex plans and use CAD software.
  • Knowledge of Spanish and European product regulations and certifications.
  • FROSIO or NACE certification preferred.
