IT Applications Development Role

This role includes analysis, programming, and configuration of end-user applications and/or systems software, including:

1. Analyzing detailed business, functional, and technical requirements and specifications for the application.
2. Coding internally developed applications and/or configuring commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) applications using programming, scripting, and database languages.
3. Supporting application testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolution activities by correcting programming errors, responding to scope changes, and coding application enhancements.
4. Ensuring quality assurance of developed code, scalability, and performance optimization; creating and maintaining technical documentation for code, APIs, and system architecture.

A Specialist applies advanced knowledge of the job area, typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Responsibilities include managing projects/processes independently with limited supervision, coaching and reviewing lower-level professionals, and solving difficult and sometimes complex problems.

Key Skills

Graduate in Engineering, Accounts, Administration, Building Materials, Customer Support, or Horticulture.
