Capacity Planning & Network Strategy Modeller

PepsiCo is looking for an experienced Capacity Planning & Network Strategy Modeler to join one of our European hubs (Vitoria, Spain; Krakow or Warsaw, Poland; Istanbul, Turkey; Bucharest, Romania).

Job Purpose

The Network Strategy Design Modeler plays a critical role in enhancing Europe’s supply chain efficiency by building and deploying end-to-end (E2E) modelling solutions. These solutions help identify and deliver transformational productivity improvements.

This role involves designing and developing network models that evaluate manufacturing, transportation, distribution, and inventory strategies to improve overall supply chain efficiency. This is achieved through the use of advanced modelling tools such as Llamasoft or others.

The role requires gathering, analyzing, and interpreting supply chain data to provide actionable insights, and communicating recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders (up to Snr director / VP level).

Key skills include strong leadership and interpersonal abilities, project management, and collaboration with business teams to bring projects from concept to realization, focusing on value delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop E2E modelling solutions in partnership with sector and market teams to support productivity goals.
• Utilize supply chain best practices and simulation tools like Supply Chain Guru (Coupa / Llamasoft) to identify opportunities across sourcing, transportation, warehousing, and inventory.
• Establish and maintain network optimization standards, best practices, and toolkits.
• Lead modelling projects using Llamasoft Supply Chain Guru and Data Guru, defining objectives, requirements, and approaches.
• Create network models and develop scenarios to generate insights for decision-making.
• Maintain and update models regularly in line with planning cycles to support decision processes.
• Prepare presentations and visualizations, assess financial impacts, and present recommendations to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with senior managers and data teams to develop innovative solutions and agile methodologies for model updates.
• Engage with business units and project SMEs to incorporate all relevant data, flows, and cost elements, considering the voice of the customer at VP level.

Qualifications

• Technical Skills :

Proficiency in Llamasoft / Coupa supply chain modelling tools covering manufacturing, distribution, transportation, and inventory.

• Extensive knowledge of supply chain principles such as planning, transportation, inventory, and sourcing.
• Experience in network modelling and scenario analysis.
• Ability to translate business logic into modelling concepts and vice versa.
• Creative use of analytical and mathematical skills with measurable results.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Advanced degree preferred in Engineering, Business, Operations Research, or related fields.
• Leadership Skills :

Strong stakeholder management and business partnering experience.

• Influencing skills to gain buy-in from others.
• Cross-industry knowledge to bring best practices to PepsiCo.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
