What are we looking for?

We are seeking a professional to work closely with one of our main clients in the financial sector.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with stakeholders within business and technology to understand needs and help design and implement optimal, data-driven solutions.
  2. Lead strategic prototyping workshops to clarify objectives through quick feedback loops.
  3. Coordinate across Global Technology Shared Services (InfoSec, Infrastructure, Production Support, etc.) to operationalize successful solutions.
  4. Differentiate approaches for building self-service BI (managed by business or IT) versus Corporate BI solutions, including data source selection and ETL strategies.
  5. Enhance reporting efficiency by standardizing practices and creating sharing platforms, including training for Power BI report designers, data modelers, and consumers.
  6. Act as a Power BI product evangelist to raise awareness, stay updated with technological advances, and evaluate use cases and alternatives.
  7. Contribute to the Power Platform Centre of Excellence by establishing governance structures for Power BI implementation.
  8. Assess adoption and customer satisfaction in collaboration with product teams and UX specialists.
  9. Be a proactive change ambassador with a creative approach to problem-solving.

What do we expect from you?

Highly skilled in data analysis, data modeling, and ETL process design with over 10 years of experience as a Data Engineer. Experience in performance tuning and handling large data volumes is essential. Good understanding of enterprise big data architectures and extensive experience in developing reporting and analytics solutions using Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Database, SSAS, and knowledge of Azure Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and Data Factory. Experience with Power Platform solutions (Power Automate, Power Apps) and Power BI. Familiarity with the full SDLC, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio (SSDT), and security model design within data estates. Proficiency in English (C1 level) for international collaboration.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in building reporting governance frameworks and driving organizational adoption.
  • Experience with SAFe methodologies.
  • Experience consuming data via APIs, Snowflake, various databases, and file formats.
  • Understanding of Data Quality approaches such as 'shift left'.
