Senior Maintenance Technician, Amazon Reliability Maintenance Engineering - IntlRME

Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team is central to Amazon's commitment to innovation. As Amazon evolves, this team ensures that our tools and technologies stay up-to-date. As a Senior RME Technician, you'll adopt the latest technologies and identify efficient working methods. Your role involves maintaining high standards through process monitoring and implementing upgrades to enhance these standards.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Demonstrate best practices in equipment safety and monitor team adherence to processes.
  2. Track equipment performance via visual checks, condition-based monitoring, and preventative maintenance, scheduling additional servicing as needed.
  3. Supervise technicians during shifts, support their development, and serve as the first contact for Reliability Maintenance Engineers.
  4. Resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime and maximize processing speed.
  5. Assist in system improvements and process standardization across the Mexico network.

A day in the life

Each shift, you will lead a team to ensure equipment availability and proper functioning. This includes process monitoring to adhere to regulations, performing preventative maintenance, and suggesting system improvements for efficiency and productivity. You will also monitor processes using tools like Scada and work closely with your line manager on administrative tasks.

This position is based at an operational site, requiring shift work that may include weekends and nights. Gaining experience here can lead to more senior roles within Amazon.

Basic qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays
  • At least 1 year of experience with automated conveyor systems, controls, electrical principles, preventative maintenance, schematic reading, industrial electrical and electronics, PLC programming, NEC standards, and work order management
  • Experience with CMMS for maintenance planning and record-keeping
  • Basic-Intermediate English (B1+)

Preferred qualifications

  • Vendor management experience
  • Robotic maintenance experience
