ESL Teacher - Oral Language Assistant

The ESL Oral Language Assistant supports the English teacher in helping students improve their spoken English skills. The assistant works with small groups (8-10 students) or individual students to encourage communication, build fluency, improve pronunciation, and boost confidence in using English in real-life contexts.

Main responsibilities:

• Host speaking activities such as role plays, discussions, interviews, and games.
• Provide oral practice and correction in a supportive, low-stress environment.
• Assist students with pronunciation, intonation, and conversation strategies.
• Adapt speaking tasks to different levels and learning needs.
• Collaborate with the main teachers to plan and deliver interactive lessons.

Requirements:

• Proficiency or native-level fluency in English.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with children and/or teens, young learners, or language learners.
• Ability to motivate students and create a positive learning atmosphere.
• Erasmus+ Traineeship grant.

Additional Information

Criminal Record Required. Anyone working with children and young people in Spain must have certificates from their home country and Spanish authorities stating they have never been convicted of a sex-related crime (with adults or children). Foreign nationals, including EU nationals, are also required to have similar certificates from their country of origin.
