The Role

As a Planner - Buyer , you will manage the timely delivery of items from suppliers while maintaining a high level of customer service. Compile information and records to prepare purchase orders for material procurement, and contact vendors to check the status of open orders and deliveries.

What you will do

• Manage procurement for Victaulic Spain and EMEA-I suppliers, ensuring high service levels.
• Optimize inventory to minimize waste and maximize availability.
• Develop and maintain key procurement tools (MRP, safety stocks, lead times).
• Oversee Order Administration (OAP), issuing purchase orders and ensuring part availability.
• Update supplier deliveries, adjust material plans, and communicate shipment changes.
• Resolve supplier issues on deliveries, quantities, and invoices, escalating when needed.
• Coordinate with Quality on non-conformities and Logistics on import shipments.
• Track supplier performance, reporting on KPIs and driving improvements.
• Lead procurement projects, including supplier reviews, vendor evaluations, and KPI optimization.

About you

• Bachelor’s and / or master’s degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Purchasing, Expediting, Material Control, Order Management, or related fields.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant computer applications.
• Technical knowledge of fluids and machining (preferably in the valve industry).
• Experience working on projects.
• Customer service oriented.
• Strong team player.
• Proficient in analytical problem-solving techniques.
• Well-developed people and organizational skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Willing to travel abroad occasionally.
