iiPay has a unique opportunity for a highly experienced and motivated Spanish Payroll Associate who wants to work closely with a large number of clients daily to professionally deliver a quality payroll service and help drive our goal of ‘Paying the Planet’.

Role Overview

Our highly motivated and engaged team members are at the heart of our success! This role requires working closely with several clients daily to deliver a quality payroll service; from receipt of payroll instructions to working with in-country third-parties to produce final payroll reports. The candidate will need analytical skills to review and validate data and strong communication skills to interact with clients for payroll approval.

Key Objectives

The successful candidate requires a minimum of 4 years of Spanish payroll experience and the ability to demonstrate a proven track record in :

  • Payroll delivery and service level management
  • Delivering accurate and compliant in-house payroll processing for assigned clients and payrolls
  • Scheduling and time management
  • Managing and delivering client payrolls against schedules
  • Operational excellence
  • Maintaining high customer satisfaction and improving systems and processes
  • Communication with clients, partners, and internal teams
  • Understanding country legislation
  • Project delivery and escalation management

Your Core Activities Will Include

  • Managing 5–10 international payrolls, including data processing and quality reviews
  • Resolving payroll queries by working directly with clients and third-party partners
  • Collaborating to review and improve payroll processes
  • Implementing new processes for efficiency
  • Ensuring timely submission of tax and social security forms
  • Managing communication with Social Security systems and tax authorities

What Are We Looking for in You?

  • 2–5 years of experience in Spanish payroll processing, handling full-cycle payroll including calculations, tax, and SS submissions
  • Experience with Spanish statutory platforms : RED, SILTRA, CNOTRAT@, CERTIFIC@, AEAT
  • Expert knowledge of Spanish legal requirements and reporting
  • Experience with complex payrolls (BIK, flexible retribution, stock options / RSU, non-residents, expats)
  • Expertise in IRPF withholding taxes and compliance
  • Understanding of Social Security contributions and leaves
  • Familiarity with tax filings (Modelo 111, 216, 190, 296)
  • Ability to demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with A3 innuva software is a plus
  • Ability to cope with high-pressure situations and meet deadlines
  • Strong Spanish communication skills; English minimum B2 level
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
