We are looking to hire a Financial Controlling Manager with native English proficiency to join a leading technology communications company operating across Europe and Africa. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and strategic finance team within one of the top players in the telecommunications sector, known for driving innovation, digital transformation, and large-scale corporate development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Data Investigation : Conduct thorough investigations of internal data sets to identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement. Collaborate with various departments to uncover root causes of data issues.
  2. Data Cleansing : Develop and implement processes for data cleansing and validation to ensure that all corporate data is accurate, complete, and up to date. Work closely with the finance team and data management teams to enhance data quality.
  3. Analytics and Reporting : Analyse cleaned data to generate insights that support corporate development initiatives. Prepare reports and dashboards that present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
  4. M&A Support : Utilize clean and accurate data to support the M&A process, including financial modelling, valuation, and due diligence, ensuring that decisions are based on reliable information.
  5. Strategic Alignment : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data governance practices with corporate growth strategies, ensuring that data-driven insights are integrated into decision-making processes.
  6. Process Improvement : Identify opportunities for enhancing data collection and management processes, and recommend best practices for data governance across the organization.
  7. Documentation : Maintain thorough documentation of processes, methodologies, and findings to ensure transparency and facilitate knowledge sharing within the organization.
  8. Team Collaboration : Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and decision-making processes.
  9. Reporting : Assist the wider finance team with reporting requirements on an ad hoc basis and in preparation for external audits, liaising directly with auditors as required.

Skills / Requirements

  1. Accountant qualified by exams or training (ideally experience with top-tier global audit firms)
  2. Must be a native English speaker or have been raised and studied in the UK
  3. Experience in transactions (ideally Transaction Services for at least 5 years)
  4. Proven experience in dealing with large amounts of data across a multi-entity environment
  5. Solid technical knowledge of consolidations and IFRS
