Signify Technology is on the lookout for a Director of Cloud Engineering!

Reports To : Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Job Overview :

The Director of Cloud Technology will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, implementation, and management of our cloud computing strategy. This individual will be pivotal in driving innovation, managing cloud transformation initiatives, and ensuring the scalability, security, and efficiency of cloud-based solutions across the organization.

Strategic Leadership :

• Develop and execute the company’s cloud strategy in alignment with business goals.
• Lead the adoption of cloud technologies across multiple platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
• Act as a thought leader on cloud-related trends, opportunities, and challenges.
• Provide expert guidance to senior management on cloud technology and its impact on business.
• Oversee the architecture, deployment, and optimization of cloud infrastructure.
• Ensure the organization’s cloud infrastructure is cost-effective, reliable, and scalable.
• Manage cloud services to improve operational efficiency and ensure high availability.
• Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers, architects, and developers.
• Establish performance metrics and career development plans for the cloud technology team.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments (DevOps, IT, product development) to ensure alignment and efficiency.
• Manage relationships with cloud vendors and third-party providers.
• Negotiate contracts and ensure that vendor services are aligned with company goals and standards.

Qualifications Needed :

Education :

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified : Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect are a plus.

Experience :

• 10+ years of experience in cloud technologies, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Experience scaling a team of Cloud specialists.
• Strong background in cloud architecture, application migration, and cloud security best practices.
• Experience with DevOps practices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI / CD pipelines is a plus.
