Descripción del empleo

PDG Media is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join the team.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in a sales role, preferably within the food & beverage sector or for marketing agencies.

Experience or knowledge of the specialty coffee industry and its key players is a significant bonus. PDG Media is a specialist GTM & marketing agency operating in the F&B sector, with a focus on specialty coffee.

We are part of the wider PDG Global media group, which includes trade publications such as Perfect Daily Grind & Coffee Intelligence, as well as the Producer & Roaster Forum.

In 2025, we will launch a new initiative called the Global Coffee Awards. We are offering two permanent, full-time roles for candidates based in Spain or elsewhere in Europe.

The roles will be primarily remote, with occasional in-person meet-ups.

The ideal candidate will enjoy engaging with people daily, identifying key business opportunities, and strategizing to close crucial deals.

You will be responsible for managing the pipeline for our strategic project sales, which includes identifying target customers, establishing opportunities, nurturing relationships, and converting leads at the right time.

Our current and former agency clients include brands such as MTPak Coffee, Hardtank (RTD and equipment), Flo-Smart, as well as organizations like Guatemalan Coffees, UKAid, and Adam Smith International.

You will collaborate closely with the COO, in line with the sales strategy, to drive new business growth and meet revenue targets.

You should be comfortable communicating with clients at all levels, identifying their needs, and passing this information to the team.

As part of a leading coffee publishing company, your responsibilities include:

  1. Working independently to meet revenue targets according to an existing sales strategy.
  2. Identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities for sponsorships and partnerships.
  3. Maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and sponsors.
  4. Defining and reassessing the ideal customer profile.
  5. Negotiating renewals with existing clients.
  6. Coordinating with the digital projects team for project launches.
  7. Upselling to clients across our portfolio.
  8. Collaborating with the publishing team to align on deliverables and client needs.
  9. Participating in regular sales meetings and providing updates to the CEO and COO.

Essential qualifications include:

  • At least 2 years' experience in a client-facing sales or account management role within the food & beverage sector or for a marketing agency.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-value sales, often requiring long-term nurturing.
  • Experience building or managing a CRM.
  • Proficiency with email outreach tools (e.g., Apollo, Gong, Instantly).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience developing and executing sales strategies.

Desirable skills include:

  • Bilingual in English & Spanish.
  • Experience with HubSpot, specialty coffee, lead generation services/tools (e.g., Clay, Snov.io, Zoominfo), G Suite, and international team collaboration.

If interested, please email your CV, including your notice period and salary expectations, to the provided contact.
