The Power Systems Group announces an opening for a PostDoc Researcher position to work on the SCAPE project, funded under the HORIZON EUROPE programme, as well as on similar technical research projects in Power Electronics.

The main tasks include designing advanced power converter topologies and control schemes, developing electro-thermal models for power converter digital twins, and conducting experimental activities, including designing and implementing experimental setups within IREC’s lab facilities.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • PhD in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Automatic Control, or similar, or a Master’s degree with over 4 years of research experience in Power Electronics.
  • Experience in design, modeling, and operation of power electronic converters.
  • Experience with control board design and programming.
  • Experience in analog and digital electronic systems design, simulation, testing.
  • Hands-on experience with power electronics is essential.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of multilevel power converter topologies and operation.
  • Experience in communications and automation systems.
  • Experience supervising, guiding, or training team members.
  • Experience preparing competitive project proposals.
  • Publication record in technical journals and conferences.

We offer a 14-month R2 position within the SCAPE European project. Salaries will follow IREC’s salary policy, based on qualifications and experience.
