R1 – PhD scholarship for developing a new generation of neuromorphic transistors for artificial intelligence
The Nanoionics and Fuel Cell group is seeking a MSc in Science to work on the development of breakthrough concepts in Iontronics for Information Technologies.
The PhD student will develop a novel class of solid-state neuromorphic transistors based on electrochemical cells for application in artificial intelligence systems. These devices offer much lower energy consumption than conventional transistors by emulating the highly efficient computation schemes of the human brain.
Estimated starting date: November-December 2024.
The student will be involved in developing new nanomaterials, fabricating miniaturized solid-state neuromorphic transistor devices, and integrating them into neural networks to solve simple problems. This work will be part of an international collaboration, providing an excellent opportunity to develop advanced concepts with a well-reputed network of collaborators.
