This position reports to Business Communication Manager.


Your role and responsibilities

The role is a member of the Global BL Industries Communications Team and is responsible for supporting the growth and positioning of the GI (General Industry) segment as well as the channel partner program, with a customer-focused communications plan and tactics. The General Industry segment covers a wide variety of industries from education, construction, to metal fabrication, earth-moving machinery, and solar. This is an excellent opportunity with a global remit for an experienced communicator capable of working across a highly matrixed organization to support business growth through devising and executing a communications plan, in collaboration with the RA Communications Central leadership team.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  1. Translating BL strategy into targeted global customer-focused communications plans and tactics that support internal & external positioning and growth, using channels like social media, digital content, campaigns, trade shows, events, and product communications, in collaboration with the Business Line Industries Comms Team, Sales, Marketing, and RA Central Communications team.
  2. Developing and delivering the yearly communications plan based on the overall BL Industries strategy, in close collaboration with sales, marketing, and product teams.
  3. Supporting the channel partner program with content creation and activation, working closely with the channel partner manager.
  4. Ensuring internal communication cascade through all internal events, platforms, and channels.
  5. Creating central positioning and communication content for products and solutions, developing a communications calendar including events, product launches, campaigns, media, and speaking opportunities.
  6. Supporting product launches with content creation and tactics in collaboration with sales, marketing, and product teams.
  7. Maintaining close collaboration with focus countries (Italy, Benelux, Eastern Europe, Canada, South Korea, Germany) to ensure messaging alignment.
  8. Executing local communications plans, including exhibitions, roadshows, media outreach, and online activities.
  9. Developing KPIs and monitoring ROI for all communications activities.
  10. Proactively sourcing stories from business stakeholders to showcase proof points aligning with strategic directions, and coordinating content for customer success stories.
  11. Delivering targeted messages to specific audiences via appropriate channels and supporting management communication efforts.
  12. Managing stories and content across communication tools and channels to meet objectives.

Qualifications for the role

  • Experienced internal and external communication professional with expertise in defining and executing comprehensive communication strategies and campaigns, including media relations, corporate communications, product launches, digital and social media, event management, and content creation.
  • +15 years of relevant experience, ideally with a mix of corporate and agency roles within the technology industry, with extensive internal and external communication experience.
  • Proven ability to operate within a highly matrixed organization across geographies and different business levels.
  • Experience in change management communications and channel communications.
  • Action-oriented, results-driven, detail-oriented, capable of managing large, complex projects independently with high standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with all management levels.
  • Strong project management and teamwork skills.
  • Exceptional writing and presentation skills, supporting executive presentations, media briefings, Q&A documents, etc.
  • Fluent in English with excellent spoken and written skills.
  • Intercultural sensitivity with experience in cross-functional, international collaboration, and networking.
  • Experience with automated demand generation environments, including measurable and controllable communication plans.
  • Ability to communicate inspiringly, negotiate, persuade, and counsel effectively.
  • Positive, passionate personality with a drive to challenge the status quo and seek continuous improvement.
