Job Description

Veolia Solar is seeking to hire an Electric Maintenance Technician for the Toledo area, primarily to perform maintenance at solar plants in Escalona, Arcicollar, Escalonilla, and Talavera de la Reina. The role also involves providing occasional support to nearby plants within the group.

Main responsibilities include:

1. Performing preventive maintenance on various components, including module inspections, single-axis tracker solar followers, structures, testing (IV curves, insulation, thermography), and maintenance centers for photovoltaic plants.
2. Troubleshooting and repairing issues in trackers (motors, electronics), modules, module strings, DC and AC boxes, low voltage meters, and communication faults within the plant network and inverter-meter systems.
3. Resolving issues in CCTV and alarm systems, fiber optic cable laying, splicing, etc.
4. Possessing essential knowledge in electromechanics and solar tracker faults.
5. Having understanding of computer networks and basic commands for managing/configuring equipment like routers, gateways, Moxa, etc.
6. Carrying out maintenance tasks on the land plots (e.g., clearing).

Qualifications:

• Experience in troubleshooting/maintenance of solar trackers.
• Serious, motivated individual eager to contribute value to the company.
• Valuable knowledge and experience in Ethernet and Wi-Fi networks, router and gateway configuration.
• Experience in maintaining photovoltaic plants as described for the role.

Other desirable qualifications:

• Knowledge of power electronics in inverters.
• Experience with PVH single-axis trackers.
• Experience operating maintenance machinery like tractors on land plots.
• Experience in other sectors performing electrical, network, communications, or electromechanical maintenance tasks.
• Experience handling medium voltage operations for photovoltaic plants and maintaining transformation centers.
