The company Deutsche Telekom Technik GmbH is a 100 percent subsidiary of Telekom Deutschland GmbH and provides the nationwide technical infrastructure of the group. Around 19,000 employees at DT Technik plan, design, build, and operate the facilities and systems of the technical infrastructure nationwide on behalf of Telekom Deutschland GmbH. The company implements network projects, operates the network technology, and, if necessary, takes over the maintenance of the technical infrastructure.

The Tribe Voice & Messaging is responsible for the design, development, planning, validation, and operation of all voice and messaging platforms in DT Technik's fixed and mobile network throughout their lifecycle. We provide innovative, reliable, state-of-the-art services to our cellular- and landline-based customers.

The scope of a current program is to bring voice & messaging applications into the cloud. We aim to change the today's model of separated fixed and mobile systems and merge them. That’s why we want you on our team.

Activities :

• You will support the project team in the integration, validation, and administration of software for voice services (I-SBC);
• Additionally, you will support development, quality assurance, planning, and implementation of product releases;
• You will assist with the design of further automations of service deployment processes and operating models;
• You will carry out performance analyses, tuning, error analysis, and fixes;

You will assist with project-specific infrastructure activities, tool suite integration, delivery, and administration.

Qualifications : Must-have skills :

You are characterized by the following knowledge and skills :

• General knowledge of DevOps technologies and tools (e.g., GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, Test Automation using Python / behave), scripting for Ansible / AWX, and basic Python knowledge;
• Basic IMS knowledge with relevant communication protocols (e.g., SIP and RTP) and telecommunications industry experience preferred. Detailed knowledge of SIP protocol and system engineering activities support;
• Willingness to learn and acquire cloud-native / Kubernetes (Cloud Booster) skills if not already possessed;
• Willingness to participate in on-call duties outside normal work hours if necessary.

Nice-to-have skills :

Understanding German language skills (optional)
