Role Overview

Support the European Compliance & AFC Team, ensuring a robust and proportionate systems and controls framework to manage regulatory risk, including financial crime prevention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stay updated on European regulatory developments, especially in Germany, assessing applicability and managing solution implementation.
  • Manage projects related to regulatory topics, business initiatives, or BAU activities.
  • Collaborate with business units to understand their strategies, services, and products.
  • Enhance the monitoring program, identify issues, and develop solutions.
  • Advise the business on Compliance and Anti-Financial Crime matters.
  • Design and deliver bespoke compliance training focusing on key business and regulatory issues.
  • Maintain personal and professional development, including relevant regulatory training.
  • Provide management information to ensure visibility of Compliance and Financial Crime activities to the board and management.
  • Perform other duties, training, or hours as reasonably required.
  • Ensure all customer, client, or colleague interactions reflect a professional, high-quality service, fostering a positive image of CMC Markets.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Deep knowledge of EU regulatory environments, laws, and standards, including investment & capital markets compliance, market abuse, conflicts of interest, conduct rules, and anti-money laundering.
  • Proven success in designing and implementing effective Compliance Programs in financial services.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional European languages are a plus.
  • Experience presenting to and advising senior leadership.
