Job Description - Supply Clerk (Inventory) - RPT (250001U5)

Job Summary: Performs inventories of merchandise/stock on hand. Reviews documents to determine overages/shortages of merchandise; inspects storage locations; verifies merchandise count and reviews receiving documents.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Reviews warehouse refusal list to determine whether merchandise listed as zero is actually in stock. Utilizes warehouse transaction report to verify receipt of merchandise, ensuring procedures are followed. Identifies and resolves discrepancies.
  2. Reviews "Warehouse Not In Stock Inventory List" based on count cycle. Inspects locations to confirm listed zero items; counts and records existing merchandise; forwards findings to supervisor.
  3. Reviews transfer discrepancy reports for overages/shortages and differences between received and shipped quantities.
  4. Analyzes merchandise extension reports to identify reasons for discrepancies between on-hand figures and physical counts, following established procedures.
  5. Conducts special physical inventories as needed to verify merchandise on hand.
  6. Verifies accuracy of shipped merchandise against shipping documents and computer issue packs; makes adjustments using CRT when discrepancies are found.
  7. Reviews merchandise ranking reports to optimize warehouse layout, reducing handling costs.
  8. Handles warehouse additions and deletions: assigns space for new items, labels, and removes labels for deleted items, updating space availability accordingly.
  9. Works under supervision, following established guidelines; work is reviewed for accuracy and compliance.
  10. May operate forklift and other material handling equipment as required.
  11. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Training Requirement: Hazardous Material (HazMat) training within 90 days of hire, per Department of Transportation regulations.

Experience Requirements:
- General: One year of clerical or office work demonstrating relevant skills.
- Specialized: Six months of clerical or administrative support experience.
- Education substitution: Half a year of college above high school may substitute for six months of experience.
