What your day to day will be like:

We are looking for a Platform Integration Specialist for the Global Cards T&O team, a key part of our technology ecosystem in Boadilla del Monte, Madrid.

The primary objective is to lead the integration of the Global Cards Platform (PLARD) across the Group's entities. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, strong communication and negotiation skills with a wide range of stakeholders, and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

PLARD is a global platform for card issuance and processing for issuing entities. This represents an operational change for entities that have been working with a local platform on their mainframe or similar. They will now operate cards with a Global Cloud Native platform, offering an end-to-end service. The focus of this position is to make this transformation project a reality in each of the entities where the Platform will be implemented. This change requires a very thorough and orderly management process. It requires certain skills such as clear speaking, social skills, negotiation, and empathy.

RESPONSIBILITES:

You will participate in the overall project planning of PLARD’s implementation with Santander Global Cards management and local entities executives, contributing to an end-to-end planning of all the milestones.

You will coordinate with the local Business and IT Owners on tasks related to planning, migration strategy, new cards’ features, regulatory needs, and project management.

You will manage risks of all kinds that impact or may impact the success of the project: early identification, documentation, communication, and escalation when necessary.

You will help the Platform Business Owner engaging in functional discussions with different Cards stakeholders and will help filling gaps that the platform does not have.

You will support the platform's development teams (domains), providing them with the necessary information and priority for the development of the missing functionalities of the entities.

You will engage with the local teams responsible for the design and development of each integration component, ensuring compliance with the planned milestones and Platform proper operation.

You will play a fundamental role in coordinating the connection of the Platform with strategic partners, such as payment networks or card embossing companies based on the platform's requirements and strategies.

You will help monitoring the implementation of project deliverables/milestones from an end-to-end perspective, assisting Santander Global Cards Governance team with status reporting, roadmap management and dependencies communication.

You will assist Santander Global Cards CIO team in ensuring the completion of communications and infrastructure-related tasks.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Languages: high level of spoken and written English & Spanish.
  • Education: university degree in Technology, preferably in Telecommunications or Computer Science.
  • Experience in Agile projects with international and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in Project Management: implementation, control and supervision until go live.
  • Experience in Stakeholder Management: managing different types of stakeholders in complex scenarios requiring political awareness and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, both technically and business-wise.
  • Being comfortable working with development teams and speak their technical language.

OTHER DESIRABLE SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge of Payments industry.
  • Knowledge of PCI regulations.
  • Knowledge of Cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of Group’s cybersecurity policies.

OTHER INFORMATION:

  • Availability to travel frequently.
