As an Account Manager, based in Cataluña and Balearic Islands, you will be the primary contact responsible for cultivating and driving the commercial relationship for customer accounts in your territory. You will identify opportunities, plan, and achieve sales objectives using an account management approach. Additionally, you will oversee customer satisfaction and coordinate actions across internal departments (sales, marketing, supply chain, and services).

What will be your missions at bioMérieux?

  1. Act as the primary contact for specific customer accounts within a defined territory.
  2. Develop knowledge of the market and customers (decision-makers, issues, bioMérieux and competitor installed base, needs) and update customer information in the CRM as needed.
  3. Design strategies to create and maintain relationships with accounts to achieve annual sales objectives (growth, turnover, margin) across all ranges, adopting an offer and solutions approach.
  4. Propose and share the commercial strategy with the “account team”, organize and facilitate “account team” meetings.
  5. Manage the entire sales process and define actions with support from internal experts.
  6. Support customers and internal teams during project implementation and solution adoption.
  7. Manage customer relationships holistically and coordinate internal activities with Customer Service, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Sales.
  8. Initiate programs (conferences, trade shows, on-demand visits, etc.) focusing on key customer accounts.
  9. Organize and lead responses for sales contract negotiations, collaborating with technical experts and field sales teams.
  10. Coordinate with KAM and hierarchical management to ensure account strategy alignment with lab chains and central purchasing agencies.
  11. Ensure sales activities comply with legal, ethical, and company standards.
  12. Promote a culture of Dare and Try and foster a Growth mindset.

Who are you?

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Postgraduate degree in Business/Marketing preferred. Science background is a plus.
  • 2–3 years of significant sales experience, preferably in the Life Science sector.
  • Strong business acumen, demonstrated work ethic, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Persuasive, influential, and adaptable in a changing environment.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts, prioritize, decide, and execute effectively.
  • Excellent team facilitation, project management, and leadership skills.
  • Effective negotiator capable of influencing C-Suite executives and responding to competitive strategies.
  • Ability to develop profitability schemes for the company and customers.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Solution-oriented, creative, and eager to learn.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
