Finance Officer

Contract Type: Permanent / Location: Abu Dhabi

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Revenue Management: Generate invoices for students and other customers, control fees, ensure proper documentation, and ensure timely invoicing compliant with VAT standards.
  2. Collection Control: Follow up on collections, send reminders, communicate with relevant departments regarding payment defaults, and manage outstanding payments.
  3. Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to IFRS standards and other management reports.
  4. Student Health Insurance: Verify invoices before final payments.
  5. Student Payment Plans: Develop and suggest payment options, update student accounts, and send reminders.
  6. Customer Service: Respond to student inquiries, provide guidance, liaise with CFO, Campus Director, parents/sponsors, and Enrollment Teams.
  7. Bank Reconciliation and Collection: Monitor collections, process transactions, reconcile bank statements daily, and manage receipts and tax records.
  8. Accounts Payables: Book supplier invoices accurately and ensure timely payments.
  9. KPIs and Strategic Goals: Achieve departmental KPIs and collaborate across departments to meet strategic objectives.
  10. Tax and VAT Compliance: Prepare VAT returns, maintain records, and support corporate income tax reporting.
  11. Closing Processes: Manage monthly and yearly closing activities, reconcile accounts, assist with audits.
  12. Student Operations Support: Assist with student check-in/out, refunds, and damage collections.
  13. Budgeting: Support the budgeting process and monitor budget utilization.
  14. Ad Hoc Tasks: Perform additional duties as assigned by the CFO.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Commercial diploma or equivalent

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of IFRS and regulations
  • Comfortable in a multicultural environment

  • Fluent in English; Arabic or additional languages are a plus
