Our Development department business line is looking for a Project Development Manager with the following responsibilities:

  • Identify and originate project development opportunities on behalf of the business to grow a pipeline of solar PV and wind projects throughout Spain.
  • Lead the full development of the projects until they are ready to build.
  • Perform technical and financial due diligence assessments, lead deal structuring, and handle commercial negotiations with local developers for greenfield development.
  • Manage relationships with authorities, grid operators, regulators, market operators, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage the permitting and authorization processes requested.
  • Oversee the grid connection process.
  • Negotiate land prospection and lease agreements with landowners.
  • Coordinate technical studies required for authorizations to build and operate solar and wind farms.
  • Prospect possible local partnerships to support development.
  • Assist in the origination of Corporate PPAs and prepare commercial and technical offers for clients.
  • Coordinate project tender participations.
  • Manage and interact with external providers.
  • Plan projects, define budgets, and monitor progress.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a similar field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in greenfield development in Spain and similar roles.
  • Knowledge of Google Earth; AutoCAD and similar cartography tools is a plus.
  • Understanding of solar PV technology and costs; wind technology knowledge is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the electricity market in Spain, including interaction with grid operators (REE and distribution companies).
  • Familiarity with Spanish regulations and development roadmaps.
  • Good understanding of the regulatory framework (greenfield and self-consumption) in Spain.
  • Knowledge of the grid and connection processes in Spain.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish (mandatory).

SOFT SKILLS

  • Proactivity in seeking new opportunities via greenfield projects or acquisitions.
  • Strong local network with grid operators and distribution companies.
  • Proactive, organized, responsible, and available.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team.
  • Good financial and analytical skills; proficiency in Excel is a plus.
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel nationally within Spain.
