Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client, a leading multinational company in its sector, is seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to join its team in Madrid.

Senior Design Engineer - Solar Trackers and Fixed Structures

Duties, Tasks, and Responsibilities

Offer Support :

• Perform engineering work using SolidWorks and CAD software to solve problems in Tracker and Fixed Structure Calculation and Design.
• Layout verification.
• Adaptation of calculations to local standards.
• Interpretation of wind tunnel test loads.

R&D Activities :

• Support at university test fields, including setup of prototypes and electrical / control systems.
• Participate in the design, calculation, and testing of new products.

Project Management :

• Follow-up of Spanish team activities.
• Workload optimization and organization.

Field Support :

• Occasional visits to solar plant sites to support activities.
• Assist in supervising the construction and commissioning of solar plants.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering major.
• No prior experience in the renewable energy sector required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical product design within a technical office.
• Experience with 3D CAD software; SolidWorks and FE, Ansys preferred.
• Self-motivated team player.
