KERIONICS is developing high temperature electrolyzers and fuel cells stacks (SOEC-SOFC) for green hydrogen production and similar applications and to face this challenge, they are looking for a SOEC Stack Design Engineer.

About the Role

KERIONICS has created a new position for an ambitious engineer who would like to become part of a company with high growth expectations. The person recruited will work closely with scientists and engineers in the New Product Introduction pipeline and will play a key role in the industrialization of the new products developed.

This role will suit an engineer candidate possessing mechanical engineering/design experience. In addition, the candidate is expected to possess a willingness to continuously excel skills and broaden professional horizons by being a part of the interdisciplinary, innovative working environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design in 3D and 2D drawings of SOEL STACK components and assemblies in collaboration with the Product Development engineers and CAE simulation engineers.
• To define components tolerances and significant specs, also to support cross functional team.
• Provide design recommendations and manage design intents and proposals for innovation products.
• To collaborate in the development of equipment, validation, and testing tools.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant discipline
• Experience in CAD design
• Understanding of the engineering and physics fundamentals with emphasis on the processes that occur inside the electrolyzer stacks (mechanical stresses, heat transfer, fluid flows, electrical current)
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a fast-moving team
• Teamwork, integrity, positive attitude, and professionalism
• Excellent communication skills in English. Spanish is a plus
• Previous experience in electrolyser/fuel cell stack design is considered advantageous
• Previous experience in modelling (MES, CFD) is considered advantageous
