About the role :

As a Senior Front End Developer, you'll become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. Our client is a digital leader in the publishing sector, managing multiple high-traffic websites and customer platforms. With a strong focus on digital excellence, performance, and user experience,the client is committed to maintaining the stability, relevance, and growth of their global web presence.

Responsibilities :

• Design and develop engaging, responsive UI / UX using modern marketing and UX principles
• Collaborate in the design and development of the frontend layer for proprietary tools
• Troubleshoot and resolve frontend issues and bugs
• Optimize frontend performance, speed, and scalability
• Write reusable and maintainable code using established methodologies (BEM, OOCSS, SMACSS)
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of code quality
• Collaborate with backend developers to integrate APIs and dynamic data
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of frontend components and changes

Requirements :

• Experience working on major media platforms like NOW TV, Sky Sports, and Peacock TV, building and maintaining key features using modern technologies such as React, TypeScript, and Cypress
• Contributed to multiple technical teams (Iceberg, Vor, Partner Web) handling everything from feature development and bug fixing to cross-team coordination and code reviews
• Trusted with Senior Developer responsibilities, leading complex ticket analysis, migrations, and mentoring, based on strong performance and recommendations from Principal Engineers
• Previous Front End and Full Stack experience at companies like Cassette, GetAgent, and AuraVision, building scalable UIs, dashboards, and APIs from scratch
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and DevOps, working with AWS services, Lambda functions, DynamoDB, Redis, and CI / CD tools like Jenkins and Concourse
• Knowledge of legacy technologies like jQuery (WordPress), with experience maintaining and migrating older codebases to modern frameworks while ensuring compatibility and performance
• Experience with template engines such as Twig (or similar)
• Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG)
• Experience with frontend performance testing and optimization
• Basic knowledge of CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal) is a plus
