The ARQUIMEA Research Center (ARC) , established in 2019, aims to invent future technologies. It fosters an environment of innovation and excellence at the European level, where researchers develop disruptive technologies and business models to drive socio-economic growth.

We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to develop, train, optimize, and benchmark state-of-the-art deep learning methods for applications in computer vision, 3D reconstruction, robotic perception, and safe autonomy.

Tasks to be performed

  • Data preparation and analysis for real and synthetic datasets.
  • Collaborate with researchers to design, implement, test, and benchmark deep learning methods.
  • Analyze the implementation of state-of-the-art methods.
  • Perform hyperparameter tuning and resource optimization during training.
  • Conduct experimental validation and benchmarking of new methods against existing standards.

Required skills and experience

  • Master’s degree in engineering or relevant field.
  • Strong Python skills, with experience in ML frameworks like PyTorch.
  • Deep understanding of ML, especially DNN architectures, supervised and self-supervised learning.
  • Experience with Git and Docker.
  • Experience in rapid prototyping and deploying DNN models for computer vision.

Desired additional experience

  • Experience with radiance fields techniques such as Neural Radiance Fields (NERF) and 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS).
  • Leadership experience in R&D and innovation projects.
  • PhD in computer science, AI, ML, or Robotics.
