Software Engineer

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our team and work full-time and remote with a leading multinational client in the printing industry.

Responsibilities :

• Software developer : be a proficient software developer, capable of develop high quality, well-architected, good performance software.
• Designs, Codes and programs enhancements, updates, and changes for portions and subsystems of systems software, including operating systems, compliers, networking, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools.
• Analyze designs, document specifications, and determine coding, programming, and integration activities required based on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture of a product or solution in compliance with systems design and development guidelines and standards.
• Writes and executes complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application; identifies and debugs and creates solutions for issues with code and integration into application architecture.
• Estimate, implement, troubleshoot, debug and unit test user requirements applying state of the art agile processes.
• Document the software specification where necessary in an agile manner.
• Process oriented : understand, follow, and improve software development processes including Product Life Cycle.
• Participate as a member of project team of other software systems engineers. Collaborate with different program teams, software quality, customer experience and technical writers to develop reliable, cost effective and high-quality solutions and keep them informed on the changes in schedule, specifications or implementations that may affect their activities and deliverables.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience in Firmware (FW) development
• Experience in building User Interfaces using Qt / QML.
• Experience in developing REST API services, as well as XML and JSON.
• Some Experience in overall architecture of software systems for products and solutions. Software design patterns.
• Understanding of modern operating systems and toolchains, especially Linux.
