Position Overview

The Director of Life Cycle Cost Management & Pricing will lead a high-performance team responsible for long-term revenue management within Wabtec Transit Services Group.

Key Collaborations

  • Wabtec Original Equipment sales and engineering teams during tender phases.
  • Regional leaders in Finance, Sales, Operations, etc., to identify levers to increase revenue and margin.
  • All levels of customer organizations to influence and interface effectively.

Impact and Responsibilities

You will leverage technology, industry, and aftermarket knowledge to create standard processes for measuring the costs of major overhauls. Your team will drive visibility into efficiency areas, collaborate cross-functionally to harmonize data, derive insights, and ensure product cost structures meet business targets through KPIs.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in a long-life cycle industry such as Rail, Energy Infrastructure, Aerospace, or Marine.
  • Minimum 10 years in Engineering, Tendering, LCC, RAMS, or Product Management, with an understanding of Finance, Technology, and Services Business.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role within a matrix environment, with proven experience leading cross-functional reviews and initiatives.
  • Knowledge of process automation, data management, and AI tools.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 15-25%, depending on location.

Typical Daily Activities

  • Driving strategies to optimize life cycle costs.
  • Monitoring margins and operational KPIs (TTQ, Hit Rate, Price Variation).
  • Implementing pricing guidelines and tools (Quote automation via CPQ / CRM, Smart Pricing).
  • Screening performance and actions to maintain competitiveness in Life Cycle Cost.

Location and Legal Requirements

Based in Europe, with easy access to sites in France, Italy, Spain, Germany, or the UK. Legal authorization to work in the EU is required; Wabtec will not sponsor visas.
