BNP Paribas, in its Securities Services business, offers a wide range of services related to the purchase and sale of financial instruments and units in investment funds, including settlement, custody, valuation, administration, financing, and all associated financial transactions (dividend payments, capital increases, fund subscriptions and redemptions, etc.).

ABOUT THE JOB

MISSION

Holding a position within the IT Development team of CIB IT Spain as Technical Development Lead for a set of local applications, your main responsibility will be to lead the development of Java-based in-house local applications in the Securities Services business. You will ensure continuity, compliance with standards and cybersecurity rules, guarantee application quality, and manage maintenance and development activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Understand and analyze business needs, proposing sustainable solutions aligned with good development practices.
2. Involve all relevant stakeholders in defining and validating new requirements, assessing potential impacts.
3. Ensure proper functioning, maintainability, and upgradability of applications.
4. Report on service continuity, deadlines, and budget.
5. Propose methods to optimize and increase efficiency.
6. Analyze incidents and develop preventive action plans and areas for improvement.
7. Assist in estimating and establishing roadmaps for applications.
8. Oversee implementation and changes in the production environment, ensuring quality.
9. Follow the go-live process, compare impacts to expectations, and propose adjustments.
10. Support the team in achieving commitments.
11. Participate in communities of practice and develop professional networks.

REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's Degree in a science-oriented field.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of Java development experience covering the entire software lifecycle, including support during testing phases. At least 3 years in software solution analysis and 1 year as a technical team leader, managing tasks, estimating developments, and guiding teams.

Preferred: Over 7 years in IT, with at least 3 years supporting production releases and testing phases.

Technologies: Java, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, relational databases, Oracle SQL/PL SQL. Knowledge of software architecture is a plus.
