Our partner is looking for a talented and motivated Data Engineer to join their growing team. The technology company provides innovative software (B2B SaaS) for the hospitality industry.
Stack & Security Context They manage vast amounts of diverse data making use of Kafka, ClickHouse, MongoDB, DataDog, Kubernetes and AWS stack.
The Role What you’ll do : Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines, reading events from topics, storing them in different databases and retrieving results via API, all in real-time. Manage the single-source-of-truth for various key metrics, understanding how they are calculated, paying close attention to details and performing corrections or recalculations if needed. Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security and data quality principles throughout the data life cycle. Develop and maintain DataDog alerts to ensure data is continuously flowing. Act as the primary liaison with our Data Science team, who will develop powerful algorithms based on the data you serve. Continuously evaluate and improve our data architecture and monitoring practices. Build and maintain code (Python or Golang) to fully customize our tools (APIs, data scripts, etc.) Collaborate in shared repositories making use of Git.
Requirements : Demonstrated data engineering experience, building pipelines and ETLs. Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases. Experience with ClickHouse or other column-oriented databases is specially valued. Comfortable working in agile and collaborative environments. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with an international team in English, both written and spoken.

Participate in several production deployments. Join ongoing database discussions, actively contributing with your insights. Familiarize yourself with your squad’s product areas and internal support processes.
In your first three months : Gain a deep understanding of our processes, tools, and architecture. Identify and lead improvements in our data pipelines. Own and deliver a successful project—whether a feature launch, a technical improvement, or a product enhancement— with technical independence.
In your first six months : Become a key reference point in your team, being able to answer about current data solutions by yourself while suggesting any improvements you may think of.
Nice to Have : Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001) and personal data directives (GDPR). Familiarity with Data Governance principles.
